A SENIORS FESTIVAL CONCERT
The time arrived once again for our annual concert to celebrate all the wonderful seniors we have in our community. Thursday October 10th was the day we had concentrated on since our mid-year break, and we welcomed a lovely large audience who were most appreciative of our work, and inspired us to be at our very best. Our varied repertoire of love songs, favourites and friendships was our theme, and we very much appreciated the warm response that was very evident. A particular highlight was the beautiful rendition of a Sound of Music medley given to all by our evergreen soloist Annette Playsted.
From our Musical Director Joy soon after the event:
Very well done today.
What a lovely afternoon of entertainment you provided today and to quote one audience member, it was “ superb!”
The audience was so appreciative and I hope you were able to hear that too. There were people in the audience who had never heard us before and were so impressed with the standard of singing .
Below is a pictorial record of the day - thankyou again to Yvonne Casey for her photography.

A WONDERLAND OF MUSIC
Another Seniors week success! Read the response to members below from our Musical Director Joy immediately after our performance on 12th October, 2023.
"What a wonderful afternoon of entertainment you provided today for our
audience! The appreciative comments were so affirming about our songs and
the way you sang them. A couple of folk who have heard us regularly said
we: "sounded the best they have ever heard today." High praise indeed.
Such an event is due to the efforts of so many folk and I want to pay tribute to them all:
* Our publicity officer: Joan Kelly.
* Ann Ferguson who managed all the bookings and seating arrangements.
* The very productive work that Marilyn did with the men in our separate rehearsals.
* David H and Tim for the transport and set up/ down of the risers.
* Our wonderful Band: Bece, and Jean who soldiered on during Teddy Bears Picnic in her piano solo even though she couldn't hear what she was playing due to that torrential rainstorm!
* Heather and Annette for the engaging solo.
* Our Drysdale set up team : Annette, Joe, Tim, Lois, Michael, David S and Heather.
* Our front of house team: Ian Ferguson, Ray Allan and David Stewart
* Those who managed the kitchen so efficiently: Rosemary and her friend, Frank Wall, Mary Drew, Margaret Trott and Bev Noss (who came to assist even though Lindsay is not a Coryule member any more.)
* And you all, for singing your hearts out and also providing the best
afternoon tea in Drysdale !!
Thank you all very much. I am so proud to be part of such a wonderful choir."

"CORYULE SINGS CHRISTMAS" CD release concert
Seniors Festival 2018
Another Seniors Festival concert for the Coryule. This year it was also our CD Release concert, so was very special to us. A great audience showed up, and we provided a mix of our new and current songs, as well as a sample of the Christmas songs on our CD. Check out the slide show below to re-live the performance.
MUSIC FROM THE SHOWS - 5th October 2017
The annual City of Greater Geelong Seniors festival was the reason for the Coryule Chorus to get busy and put together a concert highlighting songs from many of the great musicals we all know so well, such a My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Camelot, Showboat, Carousel, Paint Your Wagon, and the list goes on. And what a day it was, with a capacity audience of around 100 people clapping, singing and generally enjoying and appreciating our music. Then to round out the day, we all enjoyed an afternoon tea together - we all went home with a big smile on our faces!
Below is a slideshow of the day for us all to reflect and remember this special occasion.

"SING-ALONG WITH THE CORYULE"
Friday October 17th 2014
A very happy and successful day it was for the Coryule Chorus as we presented our 2014 Seniors Week program to approximately 100 people in the wonderful St James Church Hall. The photos below are from that concert.
SENIORS WEEK CONCERT 2013
Thursday, 31st October, 2013 proved to be a wonderful day for the Coryule Chorus. As a part of Seniors Week in Drysdale, we performed in the newly renovated St James Hall to a packed house. They were the most appreciative audience we could ever wish for, and we were thrilled that all our hard work was enjoyed by all. The following photographs were taken at this event.
