Welcome to the Coryule Chorus website
Coryule celebrates its 10th Anniversary.
Coryule Chorus is a 30+ voice community SATB choir based in Drysdale on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. In the 14th year of singing together, the choir relishes the chance to perform at many of the the Aged Care facilities on the Bellarine, singing also for Service Clubs and community events.
Musical Director, Joy Porter says that “connection with our audiences is vital to make our music interesting and relevant to those who attend our concerts and who hear us in other forums.”
Each year the choir engage the professional services of well-known choral directors, singing teachers and song leaders for an extended Choral Workshop: to learn new work and polish existing repertoire. In the past we have learnt from Jane Thompson & James Rigby, Faye Dumont, Sally Wilson, Kym Dillon and Tom Healey.
The choir formed in August 2010, and has grown in numbers since then to now be a formidable, competent choir attracting attention throughout Geelong and the Bellarine. We are named after the Coryule Homestead in Drysdale, which was the original home of two of our most famous pioneers, Anne Drysdale and Caroline Newcomb.
We trust you will enjoy navigating your way around our website to learn a little more about the Coryule Chorus, and if you haven't already, come and hear us at one of the concerts we will be performing in the coming months.
